The Aims of the Society

The aim of the society is to create a spiritual society of committed Christians that earnestly support and encourage missionaries through dedicated prayer and small sacrifices. In return, the graces of the society offer assistance to the missionaries in attaining holiness. 

Society Member Benefits

The benefits of membership in Missions of Hope Missionary Society are spiritual graces attained through the prayers, good works, and merits of other members and a daily conscious call to reminder that God is in love with you and that you are worth of His service.

Commitments of the Members of Missions of Hope Missionary Society

  1. To pray the Missionary's Daily Prayer for the fellow members of the Society and for all missionaries daily. The ongoing prayer requests of the missionaries are collected by Missions of Hope and published for the members. 
  2. To commit oneself to seeking to be in union with God in heaven and to working towards personal holiness.
  3. To do one act of charity, corporal work of mercy, or spiritual work of mercy each week offered for the spiritual benefit of missionaries and members of the society.
  4. To support the good works of at least one missionary through a financial contribution or otherwise on an ongoing basis as one's means allow.

Missionary's Daily Prayer

Almighty and ever living God, while dying upon the cross for love of us, you expressed to the world your thirst for souls. Help me today to make progress towards quenching your thirst. We ask You to guide and bless all the missionaries who are carrying forth and sharing the good news of the Gospel. Endow your missionaries with an ability to express through their words and actions your eternal love and patient mercy. Give all missionaries the grace to be generous in giving of themselves and strength to render more faithful service to you. Send your Holy Spirit on them, that He may strengthen them in weakness, comfort them in trials and direct their efforts. Loving Father, provide for the needs of your servants and do not forsake them when they call upon you. May He open the hearts of their hearers to receive Your love. Let Your love penetrate and heal every heart, body, and soul. Let Your divine revelation enlighten all minds. May all people consciously acknowledge You and serve You by living the teachings of Your Son. And as for me Lord, allow me to be a missionary today in a manner that gives you glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Corporal Works of Mercy

  1. To feed the hungry.
  2. To give drink to the thirsty.
  3. To clothe the naked.
  4. To shelter the homeless.
  5. To visit the sick.
  6. To visit the imprisoned.
  7. To bury the dead.

The Spiritual Works of Mercy

  1. To instruct the ignorant.
  2. To counsel the doubtful.
  3. To admonish sinners.
  4. To bear wrongs patiently.
  5. To forgive offenses willingly.
  6. To comfort the afflicted.
  7. To pray for the living and the dead.

Membership in the Society

Membership in the society is free and open to anyone. Members register with the Missions of Hope corporate office and are logged in the official membership directory. Members may terminate their membership at any time through written correspondence. 
Membership registration is currently done only by written correspondence. You may print off your membership petition and mail it to us at the address provided on the form. Thank you for considering joining our international spiritual society.
