Long Term Missions: Bring Hope; Bring Christ
Missions of Hope currently has missionaries serving in seven long term missions. Long term missions are the highest purpose of the missionary society because of the importance making a serious commitment to the undertaking of the propagation of the faith. Long term missions are defined as those missions that have full-time missionaries serving them for at least 9 months out of the year. Long term missionaries commit to at least one thousand hours of service each year to a mission. These missionaries enter into a completely new and different culture and immerse themselves in the work of witnessing to the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus.

Mexico City
|
Since 2006 Craig has mentored college students and worked with the poor in Mexico City. He works with street kids to help transform their lives by giving them hope, encouragement, and help with their basic needs clothing, blankets, shoes and food. He collaborates with the Basilica of Guadalupe on projects to help the poor living on the streets or in safe homes near the Basilica. Each year he hosts groups of college students who come to Mexico City on mission trips to learn from the poor. Underlying Craig’s heart for the poor is the vision to bring together people to work together and share resources for bringing people to Christ.
Craig is now joined by Courtney and Elizabeth who have served as missionaries around the world and on University campuses with FOCUS. |

EvangelizE Through Love: Mission Romania
"Missionary zeal does not grow out of intellectual beliefs, nor out of theological arguments, but out of love." -Roland Allen
With a mission of restoring hope in a country wrecked by the effects of Communism, Evangelize Through Love is truly a light in the darkness. The mission of this small group is just what it's name implies: To witness to the hope of the resurrection by being a constant means of love and encouragement.

Beloved Children, Austria
Beloved Children of the Father is a small community that is beginning to grow in Austria. Focused on the Spirituality of Communion, the missionaries strive to live wholesome lives and witness to the perfect love of the Trinity.
“A spirituality of communion implies the ability to see what is positive in others, to welcome it and prize it as a gift from God: not only as a gift for the brother or sister who has received it directly, but also as a ‘gift for me.’ A spirituality of communion means, finally, to know how to ‘make room’ for our brothers and sisters, bearing ‘each other’s burdens’ (Gal 6:2) and resisting the selfish temptations which constantly beset us and provoke competition, careerism, distrust, and jealousy. Let us have no illusions: unless we follow this spiritual path, external structures of communion will serve very little purpose. They would become mechanisms without a soul, ‘masks’ of communion rather than its means of expression and growth.” (NMI 43)
