Expanding the Missionary Frontier: New Missions Gladly Accepted
Missions of Hope is always willing to investigate and consider new mission opportunities. We are excited to embrace new opportunities and to see what the Lord might be doing in the hearts of His people. Because of our policy not to restrict the Holy Spirit, we take missionary callings very serious and make every effort to explore the opportunity and embrace pioneering missionaries wholeheartedly.
The process for starting a new mission involves five steps:
Missions of Hope commits to the mission and missionaries, offering support and management. The missionaries and the organization work together to accomplish the mission in a truly biblical partnership.
The process for starting a new mission involves five steps:
- A "New Mission Request Form" (below) is submitted by an individual or a group interested in starting a new mission
- A mission start-up coach is assigned to the group to walk them through the prayer and information gathering period.
- After review and approval of the Board of Directors, a preliminary exploratory mission takes place with the individuals or teams proposing the new mission and a representative of Missions of Hope.
- A post-trip report is given to the Board of Directors for final approval. Upon approval of the new mission, more planning takes place with a mission start-up coach and fundraising begins.
- Recruitment and final fundraising is followed by the official launch of the mission.
